| Today's vehicles are made differently than yesterdays. |
| The sheet metal is thinner, the window glass is thinner and the paint is thinner. They have gone to the thinnest paint they possibly can (.006 to .008 of an inch thick) and in most cases water based paint and started using clear coats, which is no more than a coat of paint. |
| New vehicles are not protected! |
| Once the factory applied plastic has been removed at the dealership, the vehicle's paint and exterior is now exposed to the elements making it prone to irreversible damage. |
| Acid rain can be in the form of rain, snow, fog or dew. |
| Acid rain will sit on your paint and eventually eat through the clear coat and etch the paint permanently and in some cases start to rust. |
| What damages paint? |
| Road salts eats paint, but did you know that salt air (near the ocean) also eats your paint? Bird excrement and decaying insects which lay on your paint become acidic and eat through the clear coat. Once this happens, the damage is irreversible. |
| What scratches paint? |
| Drive through car washes acually drives dirt deeper into your cars finish with the high pressure sprays. Stiff rotating brushes scratch your vehicle's paint. Cloth rags can hold small fragments of dirt and debris which can scratch your paint. When wiping down your vehicle, only micro fiber rags should be used, they don't scratch; they don't leave lint and can hold 7 to 10 times their weight in absorbency. |
| Every time you wax your vehicle you are slowly removing some of the finish causing it to fade. |
| Applying the Glasshield process eliminates this problem. |
| Only glass can filter out UV rays. |
| The sun MELTS wax, leaving your vehicle's paint prone to being exposed to the elements including UV rays which will oxidize the paint. |
| German made vehicles (Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, etc) |
| Have had a "soft" paint applied. Anyone who owns one of these vehicles may notice they have a lot more scratches on their vehicle than usual. American made cars do not have this paint as it does not meet with EPA regulations. Having the glass application applied to these vehicles will solve this problem. |

| Leather interiors |
| Should be treated with a quality leather cleaner/conditioner (we suggest monthly) to prevent it from drying out and cracking. Remember, the sun rays affect the interior of your vehicle as well as the exterior. |
| Cloth interiors and carpet protection |
| We also suggest treating carpets, mats and cloth interiors with Dupont™ Teflon® Advanced Protector (the same Teflon® used on pots and pans) to protect them from dirt and stains setting in. |
